Between black and white it always seems to be truffle season in Asia. But the white truffles foraged from Alba in the Piedmont region of Italy and nicknamed “diamonds” are the real stars.

Every year our in box fills with details of special menus proffered by restos but this year’s standout is Tosca at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong which is offering diners their own whole white truffle at Sunday brunch from November. And Grissini at the Grand Hyatt HK where white truffles are shaved over your dishes tableside is consistently good since the chef hails from Alba.
