Chopstix does love a luxury locomotive so we’re delighted to hear that two of Hong Kong’s icons are paying homage to the golden age of train travel.

During September and  October, the newly refurbished Bar at The Peninsula is offering cocktails inspired by Paris, Munich, Vienna, Budapest and Istanbul – the stops on the Orient Express that brought passengers from Europe to The Pen when it opened in 1928.

Meanwhile, across the harbour at the Mandarin Oriental, the tiny and exclusive Krug private dining room has been cleverly redesigned to resemble a chic choo choo carriage (see above). All aboard!
