Hot diggidy dawg
Hot Dogs are hot news in Hong Kong but last night I tasted the best one ever – in Singapore. Jason’s Very Hot Dog at the newly opened Keong Saik Snacks in China Town is definitely top dog: a piquant, succulent chorizio sausage covered (but not smothered) in Cheddar cheese, jalapeno peppers and guacamole. Holy moley it’s good. Jason by the way, is Jason Atherton – Michelin starred British chef opening restaurants galore in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. His Spanish cooking influences have led to this hot dog hybrid and it’s a mouthwatering match made in heaven.
